All cities participating in 10 Days of Prayer in Texas will devote 1 day to pray at the Texas State Capitol in Austin. We have a dedicated auditorium at the state Capitol building and the Houston Team is going Tuesday 9/30 from 12 - 4 pm. Join for prayer and worship at Auditorium E1.004 (across for Capitol Grill).

The 10 Days is chosen September 22 because that is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hoshanah, also the Feast of Trumpets. It begins the evening of September 22. The 10 Days ends on October 2 because that is the Day of Atonement/ Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day on the Jewish calendar when the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple once per year. The 10 Days is referred to as the Ten Days of Awe and is a special time for reflection and repentance.
