The 10 Days is chosen October 2 because that is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hoshanah, also the Feast of Trumpets. It begins the evening of October 2. The 10 Days ends on October 12 because that is the Day of Atonement/ Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day on the Jewish calendar when the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple once per year. The 10 Days is referred to as the Ten Days of Awe and is a special time for reflection and repentance.
This is a non-denominational effort to unite the Body of Christ to join together in prayer. See 10Days.net for more information.
You can register your own city at 10days.net.
